Projekt Sozialwort is an initiative of the 14 Christian churches in Austria. These include:

The Old Catholic Church
The Reformed Church

The Syrian Orthodox Church

The 14 Christian churches in Austria are getting together to speak out on issues of social concern. Their first step was a comprehensive survey of the churches' work in society. The results of the survey were presented in a social report (Sozialbericht). This was the basis on which the social mission statement (Sozialwort) of the Christian churches in Austria was developed. In this entire process, great importance has been attached to involving as widely as possible the institutions, initiatives and groups active in social work and policy-making.
